Model Kits for Inorganic Complexes

Dear Colleagues,

I want to purchase a good model kit for inorganic complexes. Any recommendations? I would love to have a model of tris complexes that contain the ethylenediamine ligand.

Best models for lecture demonstration of inorganic isomers?

Submitted by Anne Bentley / Lewis & Clark College on Tue, 01/26/2010 - 18:56

I need to order a new model kit for general chem and my (much smaller) inorganic chemistry course.  Every spring when both courses roll around to optical and geometric isomers of inorganic coordination compounds, I am frustrated and flummoxed about how to best demonstrate them.  Particularly difficult are the chelating ligands.

Use of Model sets in Inorganic chemistry.

I use the framework molecular model set by Prentice Hall in my Inorganic class.

I am about to put in my "book" order for the fall and I was wondering if anyone has found a better model set to use in Inorganic chemistry?  This set has trigonal pyramid and octahedral geometries.
