Do you ever wish you could glean the best ideas from other VIPEr users and not have to wade through a bewildering array of content that the site hosts now? Do you wish you could share all the learning objects that you use in a particular class in one place? You need to check out our Collections!
Collections are user generated groups of teaching materials already published on VIPEr. Some notable collections include:
- a group of favorite learning objects of the 2019 class of VIPEr Fellows
- materials that highlight diversity, equity, and inclusion in chemistry
- literature discussions featured in the virtual issue of Organometallics
- a group of safety-related activities and resources
Are you a new faculty member, just getting started? We also have several Collections that are particularly useful for you:
Do you wish you had a place to park your course materials for one particular course (and share it with the wider community)? You can create your own Collection for your class, like some VIPEr users have on
Here are two questions for the community (feel free to reply in the comments below or contact us at info@ionicviper.org): What collections do you wish we had on VIPEr? What collections could you create that would be helpful to share with the IONiC community?
If you are interested in learning more strategies for engaging with the IONiC community and using the VIPEr website effectively, we will be hosting an IONiC-VIPEr: Introduction and Recent Website Improvements at the SLiThEr (Supporting Learning with Interactive Teaching: a Hosted, Engaging Roundtable) that will be held via Zoom on Oct 1, at 4 pm Eastern, 1 pm Pacific. You can pre-register and we will send you the Zoom link for the session. It will also be posted to the IONiC YouTube Channel (subscribe so you don't miss anything!).
