Betsy and I are feeling chills (they’re multiplying and we’re losing control) that come along with the close of our summer 2019 content-building workshop at Smith College. We are amazed at how quickly the last few days passed. (It was like greased lightnin'!)

Tell me more, tell me more… (Channel Olivia Newton-John as you say this.)

Over the course of three days, our twelve participants learned about the IONiC community, interacted with the VIPEr website, and were hopelessly devoted to Linda Doerrer (our expert speaker). Our own beauty-school dropout, Chip Nataro, also made a special guest appearance on the first full day of the workshop.

Tell me more, tell me more…

Our three groups worked very hard to create and publish six learning objects based upon three communications from Linda’s lab (including two 1FLOs), one updated and expanded literature discussion from the early days of the VIPEr site, and eleven syllabus LOs. Additionally, one participant also posted two Five Slides About related to VSEPR and MO theory. All of the great items created during the workshop can be found on the workshop introduction page.

Tell me more, tell me more…

If you think you’ll go together like rama lama lama ka dinga da dinga don with a VIPEr workshop, keep an eye on the VIPEr website for the announcement of next summer’s content building workshop, to be led by Chip Nataro, who’s the one that you want (to be there).

Hopefully this workshop will be remembered forever as shoo-bop sha wadda wadda yippity boom de boom...
