It's hard to believe that we are a little over a week away from the ACS meeting in Denver. As always, VIPEr will be well represented at the meeting. You can get the full details for our technical program from ACS, but I thought it was worth giving you a brief synopsis.

We kick things off Sunday morning with 8 talks on coordination chemistry hosted by Chris Hamaker.

Sunday afternoon has 9 Organometallic talks presided over by Marites Guino-o. If you care to stretch your legs, you can check out a talk on our workshops by Hilary Eppley, Adam Johnson and Nancy Williams in the CHED division.

Making sure you are plenty busy on the first day we have 50+ posters in the evening session from 6-8 pm. This includes our VIPEr and workshop posters so please be sure to see us and pick up some swag.

Monday afternoon will be the Maggie Geselbracht Memorial session. Adam Johnson and Chip Nataro will preside over 5 talks and many fond memories of our dear friend Maggie.

The tribute will then move to the Paramount Cafe from 5-7 for the VIPEr social hour. Come grab some food and hang out with the other members of the VIPEr community before heading back for Sci-Mix. VIPEr will be strongly represented in the Sci-Mix. I would give you an exact count, but when I asked Chip Nataro for it he said "MAPS has some unique features" and he refused to explain what he meant by that.

We are right back at it Tuesday morning when Amanda Reig hosts 7 bioinorganic talks.

And finally, Matt Whited brings things to a close Tuesday afternoon with our unprecedented fifth oral session which will be 8 talks on solid state and materials chemistry.

I am looking forward to seeing many of you during our time in Denver. If you've been to one of our sessions before you know I will be in the best seat in the house for all our sessions.
