Thanks to everyone for the blog recommendations. I'm also looking for some good podcast recommendations for the walk to work? Do you have any favorites? Like Keith I'm a huge fan of Chemistry in its element (http://www.rsc.org/chemistryworld/podcasts/). I'm thinking of using these when I go back to teaching Inorganic Chemistry I in Spring 2014. I also like the RSC'sChemistry World podcast (http://www.rsc.org/chemistryworld/podcasts/). I'm a huge fan of anything by the Naked Scientists (http://www.thenakedscientists.com/).
What are your favorites?
Hi Barbara,
Those sound interesting, I will have to check them out.
I've listened to a few of the Chemical Heritage Foundation "Distillation podcasts" and found them to be interesting:

They also have an iPad app with these podcasts and I think I mentioned that in the Ipad in teaching thread.
Cheers,
Kyle
Kyle,
Thanks for the recommendation. I enjoyed a Distallation podcast on a walk this morning. In the one I listened to, the chemistry was a little tangential, but it did a good job of showing how chemistry fits into broader problems.

Yeah, they are more chemistry/science and society focused rather than chemistry-heavy.
