Happy New Year VIPEr colleauges,

I wanted to let you know that I published an article in the current issue of the Bulletin for the History of Chemistry (an ACS journal) entitled "Celebrating Our Diversity. The Education of Some Pioneering African American Chemists in Ohio." The citation is listed below if you are interested in reading the article. Basically, it focuses on three African Americans that have earned PhDs in the sciences from Ohio State.

Dear Sibrina,

Congratulations! I must say, as I was scanning the Table of Contents trying to decide whether there was anything in that issue I wanted to save before recycling it (it is the only "journal" I still read in "print"). Seeing your article stayed my hand, and I put it on my desk until I'd put out all the fires for the week. As it got quiet on a Friday evening here, I finally got a moment to read something for pleasure and picked it up.

I really enjoyed the article! After finishing, my first thought was that I needed to post this to VIPEr so I logged on only to see your post.

Oh, well, better late than never! Nice stuff!

Scott,

Thanks for the kind words. I do this "history stuff" as a hobby in my spare time (not that I really have any.)
