Does anyone in VIPErland know anything about benchtop NMR systems? Such as: Magritek's Spinsolve, Thermo Scientific's picoSpin, Nanalysis' NMReady, Oxford's Pulsar, and Bruker's Fourier 60.
thanks,
Adam

Hi Adam,
I liked Nanalysis's one when I saw it at an ACS a while ago. We are trying to get a Benchtop NMR as well (requesting funds... might not get it). I haven't had any hands on experience with any yet. I like that it takes a regular NMR tube when Thermo's is capillary-based, but that just might be bias due to habit.
We are in the process of lining up vendors to come out to demo their instruments. It would be Spinsolve, Nanalysis, or Bruker. As Kyle said we want one that uses standard NMR tubes. We are hoping to purchase and have up and running for Winter semester. I will update on my thoughts once we have started using.
We purchased the Oxford Pulsar last November. We love it! It uses standard NMR tubes. It is simple enough to use that we have trained many of our undergrads, and they more or less have full access. Anything else you'd like to know?
