Hello Ionic Viper members,

The 2013 CENTC Summer School has been announced. I went as a grad student to the 2010 one, and would go this year but I will probably be busy moving from my postdoc to my new job.

Here's the website:

http://centc.chem.washington.edu/Applications/SummerSchoolInfo.aspx

According to the website:

"The program is intended for advanced PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, and other early-career researchers as well as faculty members from primarily undergraduate institutions who are interested in deepening and updating their understanding of organometallic catalysis and the process of innovation. Applications from members of groups under-represented in chemistry are strongly encouraged."

I definitely recommend it, and I know some of you have probably gone before (Adam, you were at the 2010 one unless my memory is really failing me...).

Cheers,

-Kyle

I also attended the program in 2010 and found it very educational.  I would also highly recommend it.  It is a great opportunity to network and learn about topics that you maybe aren't the most proficient in.

Kyle,

Good luck with the move and starting the new position.  It will be exciting times for the next couple of years.

Nick

I went to the one in 2008, the first one that was held.  It was quite informative and I found it very interesting.  It was full of lectures and I wish there had been more hands-on activities during the week.  I though overall it was a worthwhile expenditure of a week!
