I thought I would take a break from basking in the sun to tell you a little bit about things going on with your favorite site dedicated to improving the teaching and learning of inorganic chemistry.

First up, ACS San Francisco is a little over a month away. And yes, once again we will be hosting a social hour! The annual IONiC VIPEr social gathering during the spring ACS meeting will be Monday, April 3 from 5-7 pm at The Pin Up. We will be supplying the food and non-alcoholic beverages. It is a short walk from the Moscone Center where our oral sessions will be held to the Yerba Buena Ice Skating & Bowling Center where the Pin Up is located.

Second, time is running out for you to apply for our last NSF funded workshop. More details will be coming forth soon. The dealine to apply is March 13th, which will be here sooner than we might be willing to admit.

Finally, maybe you have been getting lots of e-mails from VIPEr. Or maybe you would like to get more - in particular to let you know when there is something new on the site. This might be especially true if you don't follow me on Twitter (@VIPEr_Flo) or follow the Facebook group. VIPEr has a subscription service to keep you apprised of updates, and we've just created a short (~3 min) video to walk you through how to set up subscriptions.
