Hi All. We have a tenure-track position in inorganic chemistry that will begin in the fall of 2013. I would appreciate it if you would circulate this as widely as possible among former students, colleagues around the world, and anyone else you feel might be appropriate for the position. Needless to say I believe it is a great position - it has kept me interested and engaged for 32 of my 43 years as a faculty member, but I will be retiring, at least officially, at the end of the 2012-13 academic year.

Wellesley College
The Wellesley College Chemistry Department invites qualified applicants to apply for a
tenure-track position in inorganic chemistry at the Assistant Professor level, to begin in
the Fall of 2013. To be considered, applicants must have a PhD; post-doctoral experience
is preferred but not required. The successful applicant will teach the advanced inorganic
chemistry course, and in the introductory chemistry sequence. Opportunities to teach
special topics courses in Chemistry and to teach in other units of the College such as the
Environmental Studies Program, the Writing Program, or the First-Year Seminar
Program also exist.
The research field for candidates is defined quite broadly and includes, but is not limited
to, inorganic catalysis, materials, bioinorganic chemistry, energy, sustainable chemistry,
nanotechnology, and other emerging areas of chemistry, broadly defined. The Chemistry
Department is strongly committed to outstanding teaching and scholarship, and to
providing our students with the best possible research experiences.
