Visiting Faculty Position in Chemistry at Harvey Mudd College. The Chemistry Department invites applications for a one-year visiting position to begin July 1, 2015, with a possibility of a second year. The successful candidate will teach in the general chemistry program including laboratory as well as other advanced courses depending on expertise. Candidates in all areas of chemistry will be considered, with those in areas at the interface such as materials and environmental chemistry, preferred. The successful candidate may have the opportunity to involve students in original research. A Ph.D. is required; postdoctoral experience is preferred but not required. Experience with or demonstrated ability to effectively teach students from diverse backgrounds will be considered among the criteria for appointment and should be addressed in the application.
