Assistant Professor, Chemistry
Hofstra University (www.hofstra.edu) invites applications for an anticipated tenure-track position in either Chemical Education or Computational Chemistry beginning September 1, 2015. Hofstra is a selective private university with 13,000 students (8000 undergraduates) located 25 miles from New York City, providing excellent opportunities for collaboration with nearby universities and national lab facilities. Position includes teaching General Chemistry as well as other introductory and advanced chemistry courses. The Chemistry department offers undergraduate degrees in Chemistry, Biochemistry and Forensic Science. A successful applicant should be prepared to secure grant funds for research. Hofstra University supports undergraduate participation in research. Teaching load alternates between 2 and 3 courses per semester; typical class size 10-50.
