I was recently awarded the opportunity to hire a teaching/research post doc at Villanova University.  This post doc opportunity is for an individual who is interested in pursuing teaching and research at a Primarily Undergraduate Institution, Master’s granting institution, or small Ph.D. program.  The post doc would teach six contact hours in the fall (most likely a General chemistry class) and six contact hours in the spring (a new course that would be co-developed with me titled: Our Energy Future).  The remaining time commitment would be spent carrying out research in my laboratory.  In addition to working on projects I’m interested in, I’m hopeful to give the post doc an opportunity to explore some of their own interests to help establish a leaping point for their own research program.
