Greetings my loyal snakelings. If you tried to register for an account in the past day or so, or if you do so for the next little while, I just wanted to let you know we are dealing with a little bit of an issue. You can read more of the technobabble below. This issue seems to be impacting the creation of new accounts and it might also lead to a little more junk hitting the site for the next little bit. But rest assured, our crack web designers at Grand Junction Design are working on the problem and our administrative team will do their best to stay on top of any spam on the site. Mollom (the main spam prevention service we were using) has finally shut down (which they warned us they would do a while ago). The site is currently set so that new users can now be created, but we need to spend some time today trying to figure out some other appropriate service or CAPTCHA setup to try to keep spam submissions under control.
