The deadline for San Diego has passed, but it is not too late for you to be included among the presenters in the IONiC Teaching and Research at the Frontiers of Inorganic Chemistry sessions! This Friday (October 23rd...aka Mole Day) the MAPS portal for abstract submissions will be open for 24 hrs. It will close at 11:59 pm EDT. From the current submissions it looks like we will have an excellent series of talks in both the Research and Teaching symposia so we will NOT be considering any additional oral presentations. However, if you (or your students) would like to submit a poster for consideration, please do so. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to get your research presented in the Division of Inorganic Chemistry. Our posters are distributed among all of the other posters in the DIC session. In addition, the more posters we have, the more we get to include in Sci-Mix. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or Hilary Eppley about the research symposium or Joanne Stewart or Barb Reisner for the teaching symposium. We look forward to seeing a strong showing from our community in San Diego.

I'll definitely try to check out all of the IONIC stuff but I don't think I will have time to present. I will be there for just a few days, and for much of that I am going to be at the symposium in honor of Karen Goldberg (my PhD advisor).
