Greetings loyal BITeS readers. I am currently in lovely Claremont, California with most of the Leadership Council for our annual project meeting. I'm here to give you a little behind the scenes look at what happens when we get together. After a long day of travel for most of us on the 1st, we started bright and early on the 2nd. The first day of the meeting focused on our current research project. Our fellows site is going to continue to develop and our first round of fellows will be meeting this summer in Dearborn, MI. We got started planning that meeting, and it is going to be a very interesting and very different workshop than any of the ones we have done before. We also started planning some of the meetings we will be attending in the next few years, including meeting where we may be able to host mini VIPEr workshops. On day 2 we talked more about the website in general, our upcoming content building workshop in Northampton, MA, and the future in general. One of the big things we talked about was the future of BITeS. Look for more general sorts of posts about teaching and fewer announcements. The last thing we talked about were opportunities for this community to grow. Expect some interesting community challenges to participate in this spring. And, if you would like to be involved in any way at all, please feel free to contact any members of the Leadership Council.
