IONiC and the ACS Division of Inorganic Chemistry have had a productive partnership to promote and develop community among DIC members who teach Inorganic Chemistry. Through this partnership, IONiC organizes Undergraduate Symposia at National ACS meetings and administers the ACS Division of Inorganic Chemistry Undergraduate Award in Inorganic Chemistry.  The Division of Inorganic Chemistry provides funds for the maintenance and hosting of the VIPEr website.  For more information on the ACS Division of Inorganic Chemistry, please visit acsdic.org.

VIPEr also hosts the nomination site for the ACS Division of Inorganic Chemistry Undergraduate Award in Inorganic Chemistry. Every ACS Certified Department is eligible to nominate one student for this award. The student nominee will have demonstrated excellence in inorganic chemistry at the undergraduate level based on any combination of research, coursework, and /or motivation / interest / dedication as defined by their nominating institution and should have future plans that include a career in chemistry. A list of all students (2009-present) who have received the award can be found here.
