Dear VIPEr Colleagues,

I would like for someone to look over a couple of experiments I am planning to do in my inorganic lab in the spring semester. The first lab is the synthesis of copper(II) glycinate monohydrate and the second focuses on [ReO2(py)4]Cl.2H2O.

Thanks,

Sibrina

Hello:

About 6 years ago I had given the copper glycinate expt.. for the chemistry majors and they had no difficulty with it.

I followed the J. Chem. Ed. paper. The students were also required to isomerize the complex from the cis to the trans complex. and it used to work very well.  They followed it by IR.

I do not have any experience with the other complex.
