Flo wants to see you at BCCE! The IONiC community is planning three events for this summer’s Biennial Conference on Chemistry Education, August 3-7, 2014 at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI. Come join the fun!

The first is a symposium about the community’s web site, VIPEr. This symposium features examples of the development, adaptation, and implementation of VIPEr Learning Objects. We also welcome stories about the role of the VIPEr community in your professional development. We invite and encourage you to submit an abstract (due February 28, 2014).

There will also be two half-day VIPEr workshops. The first is an introduction to the web site. You will learn how to use VIPEr resources in your teaching and how to post your own learning objects. The second is intended for community members who are already familiar with the site. We will focus on helping you post your learning objects. We will also explore new features on VIPEr. If you’re a former workshop participant, the BCCE advanced workshop will help you recapture the VIPEr love that you felt at the workshop. You can sign up for a workshop when you register for the conference.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss ideas, please contact Joanne Stewart (stewart@hope.edu). See you at BCCE!
